That's really where the problem starts and ends. Sure, bringing in the national guard could temporary pacify some problems, but the violence is going to keep coming back if we don't address the source.

And before KU or anyone else goes there, I realize welfare is pretty much the same as bringing in the national guard. Alleviates the symptoms temporarily, not the problem itself.

Source that they're not ashamed? Who made you the authority on what the "black community" (no such thing...) thinks?

Am I being too logical here ?
Somebody forgot to pay a bribe. Also the thugs would probably shoot up the busses.

There is no such thing as the black community? Well can someone inform Obama/Holder? Maybe you can do it.
Where's your source that they are a shamed?

Most Chicago kids don't ride school buses.

I didn't make the claim, bro. I don't know if they are unashamed, but I have my doubts. Until you provide a source, I have no reason to believe YOUR CLAIM.

Honestly though, more positive youth activities would help in those communities. There are still a ton of great people living there just trying to get by.
Kids need parents. Active concerned parents who will hold kids accountable for their actions and discipline them when they need it. That is, in my opinion, the only real answer. Parents who make sure their children are receiving an education. Poverty doesn't have to last through generations.

All it will take is one kid getting beat up/mugged either on the way to school or on the way home for all hell to break loose over this.

Didn't know all the laws there and was new to the area. Decided to take a walk along the lakeshore one evening. There were still quite a few people out jogging and hanging out.

An officer driving through gets on his PA and says, "Get your ass outta the park!"

Confused, I obeyed and started walking back to the underpass where I entered the park and stopped to ask a couple if the park was closed. They looked confused and said no and then I explained my story.

To make a long story short, I could've received 10 years that night just for carrying a gun with me while I walked in a place I was unfamiliar with.

KU, I'm telling you man. There's some seriously effed up systematic BS going on in this country. We need more conservatives joining up with the inner cities and vice versa. It's our government that's ineffecient, not the people.
I'm not a gun nut but do have guns. It makes no sense at all to me to try and restrict people from defending themselves. Then the authorities wonder why crime goes wild claime they are the ones who can take care of us and then when the call comes decide oh hell I'm not going into that neighborhood it's too violent and show up an hour later to see if anybody was killed. I think the problem is many of the folks running these cities don't want it to change and are happy with the status quo as it is keeping them right where they want to be........in office. I live in a low crime area but I insist my wife carry when she is out by herself at night. Thankfully we can do that here.
