"In spite of the continued released [sic] of 90 million tons of global warming pollution every day into the atmosphere, as if it's an open sewer, we are now seeing the approach of a global political tipping point."--Al Gore, interview with Washington Post, Aug. 21, 2013
Yep, we're warming up faster than ever, and any time now we're going to be in real trouble!
(BTW, most scientists now admit we're cooler now that we were some 15 years ago.)
Some leftists just never drop their assigned talking points, no matter how many times they're proven wrong or how clear it becomes that they're nuts-o.
And a few of the battiest, such as Al Gore, are still spewing the same tripe!

The last 5 summers have been well below normal temps and the winters have been longer and colder that I can remember in a long time, probably since the 70's have I seen winters like this. We had snow the first weekend of May when I moved my son home from college, 4" of it. That is the first time I've ever seen measurable snow in my life in May.
"Global Warming" is a bunch of baloney. The ice is melting in someplaces and growing in others. Has nothing to do with the temps.
This should clarify your misconception, but I doubt it.
Global Warming has the unfortunate affect of moving climate zones, meaning areas that were once dry are now very dry and areas that had moderate temps and rainfall all of a sudden tend to get even wetter.
Is that how the lush Egyptian farm lands turned into the Sahara Desert?
Actually if you had not missed it several people in the south/southwest have stated that they also have hot temps, and I would remind you Texas is one really big hot spot and a little hard to discount.
I live in Texas too Casper. A Texas Hot Spot? You mean a blocking high that comes in an sits over the area which is not uncommon for Texas? How long have you lived in Texas? You act as if you just moved here. Hot summers are not unprecedented here, though... the cool summers are a bit abnormal, though no unprecedented (as we are currently having). Also, don't go off about a drought here, that claim may work with people in other states, but I know better. Texas is always in a perpetual possibility of drought. It is a natural aspect of our environment here.
having lived in Dallas about half of my life, I am well aware of how hot Texas is. from June 1 to Sept 1 I wake up every morning and ask myself why I live here.
then Sept. hits, and I remember how awsome those other 9 months are... LOL....
As I said before, this summer has been quite mild. you should know that even though gosts cant FEEL, they can still read thermometers. Dallas has been GREAT this summer!
Yep, very mild right now. Heck, we didn't even start to hit many 100 temps until August (very uncommon) and then, we only had a streak of them, with most temps staying in the mid 90's as well as that one night we had that record low of 60 (was a wonderful morning to run for summer).
Though maybe like Price, he has a hard time understanding the meaning of words and context. /shrug
