Congratulations, you've managed to erect 2 strawmen within 1 relatively short post.
Let me set you straight on a couple of things: (1) Supporting some of Obama's positions, or having voted for him, does not obligate anyone to support everything he does. Only totalitarian thinkers, like mindless GOTP drones, think that way. (2) Not all liberals support Obama. Your apparent belief to the contrary is just plain wrong. Obama has many, many detractors on his left. Which you'd know if you'd only bothered to read the many, many threads on this same topic here in which this fact has been pointed out repeatedly.
People don't seem to understand that a person can be a liberal without being a progressive. Also, that BOTH parties contain progressives, all of whom play for the same ends. This is why we live in the land of confusion, a two party system in spirit, not in reality. The political class is the ruling party.
No, I hate it. These are some of the reasons I didn't vote for him in 2012. (I also didn't vote for him in 2008) But I sure as hell am not going to vote for the Republicans, who drove this kind of crap, more than anyone.
Perhaps, OP, you can explain why you supported Bush when he was doing all these things but now you oppose Obama doing the same thing?
