depends on what you are referring to. the "housing crisis" framework started with jimmy carter. pepper in irresponsible individuals who bought more than they could afford, and I fail to see how a republican is responsible. a huge factor in the economy is the idiotic war in iraq. republicans can be blamed more than democrats for this, but democrats also voted for the war.
Obama has a number of topics that make the rounds to keep the emotions running.
Hispanics....keep the flame going on immigration
Blacks..keep the flame going on racial oppression
Whites..keep the flame going on middle class jobs
General public...keep the flame going on various oppressors (Repubs, Christians, Whites, Corporates) and how you are their victims.
It's a never ending cycle. Promise them the world and then blame some other group as obstructionist to your vision.

The unemployment rate is 3% for the college educated. My gf's brother just got a $100K job offer and he has only been out of school for 4 years, unfortunately it's in NYC so he had to turn it down.

Other presidents have been able to accomplish goals, even with BOTH houses in control of the other party. Now why in the world has Obama been "hamstrung" by two and a half years of republican control of the congress?
Obama's liberal policy has been an abject failure. After five years, unemployment remains high, incomes are lower, and the standard of living is lower in the US. All libs can do is to blame conservatives, given thier lack of ability to remedy the economy. When one has no solutions or accomplishments, diversion through blame is usually the best tactic!

Says a poster who supports partisans who won't take responsibility for anything. Next time, try to add something to the conversation that doesn't apply more so to the folks who's perspectives you support than it applies to those you're trying to direct it at.
