That's the problem. Some want to vote for 3rd or 4th parties but would rather their vote ensure the win of the lesser of the top 2 than to try and make a point just in case no one else tries to make that same point. Unless you end up like DC's last mayoral race where an independent was one of the top 2, then it feels like a wasted vote for some.
People are afraid of wasted votes. This is a place that responds to Democrat/Republican ways. At this point, there is dirt on both sides. The only way a 3rd or 4th party could really work is if MORE people participated in it. People vote for what they see as the lesser of the two evils. It is a matter of "I don't trust him, but I have even more distrust for the other party". In short, vote for who you have the least distrust for. And furthermore, vote for who and what you know.
Truth is, most voters are very partisan, and many admit this.

You just said what I said. Cool.
It makes sense to be partisan depending on what you believe. They both tend to stick to a certain narrative. You pick the narrative that most reflects your belief. Every once and a while you have someone who is a true moderate but I don't know how often that happens.
He was more a socialist than anything, of course he didn't like the Democrat Party, he wanted government to do more or even for the entire Southern US to break off into its own nation.

Doesnt matter, It sounds anti Democratic, just like the embarrassing Lupe Fiasco.

I guess we are thinking on a similar plane.
Proof of undying partisan devotion is evident on the internet. We're seeing it on both sides.
One thing about moderates is this. They are being chased out by people on both sides of the spectrum.

Well, I do hate to say this, but X did bring up one point. The Democrats were putting Blacks last, at least in the days before the Civil Rights Act. He was a critic of the Republicans too.
He basically put it as this. He compared Republicans to wolves and Democrats to foxes. Basically, a matter of who are you going to be devoured by.
