Google will find it for you. the ME tried really hard to frame George. There's several very unprofessional, unwarranted comments in the report. If a guy is "mounted' on you, you on your back, and he's flailing on your face, it's quite feasible that his torso could be twisted enough for a shot from your hip area to strike him frontally. There was gunpowder "stippling' on T's shirt, evidence of near-contact firing range.

Nothing about a heart shot is "instant death". The person so hit can easily live for 5-10 seconds after being shot. The PF-9 Keltec 9mm and Sellior and Belliot (sp?) 115 gr jhp's did their job. The bullet did not exit the torso. That is unusual, if it is a 'non-plus P" (ie, normal pressure) load, from that little 3" barrel.

The typical velocity from such loads and barrels is not enough to reliably expand a jhp (jacketed hollowpoint) bullet. When such a bullet "mushrooms' in flesh, it acts like a parachute, slowing the bullet down drastically and reducing the amount of penetration that would have been achieved with a non-expanding bullet. jhp's are chosen by police and civilians as a way to increase the likelihood of not having to fire many shots to stop an attacker. This is far from being a guaranteed thing, but it does increase the odds in the favor of the shooter. If, that is, he gets good hits.
