[quote=kidkaos2;31346815]What's dumb is just knee-jerk opposing anything that has Bachmann's name attached to it.

Well it is true that differing political sides do often jump in and feact to the opposite side. In the case of Bachmann, well she is the cause for people's knee-jerk reaction to things she says. Rarely in the political world is there someone that consistantly says as much ignorant crap than that woman. Trust me I could post at least a dozen vids of her comments that prove she is clueless. If you want to see them youself just go to youtube.

Michele Bachmann Suggests Muslim Brotherhood To Blame For 9/11, Thanks Egyptian Military For Coup
conservatives love brutal dictators. conservatives hate and fear the idea that Arab or Muslim citizens will pick their own leaders. So they support dictators and military coups against the popular will of the people. conservatives wanted the brutal dictator Mubarak to stay in power. Now conservatives believe with the military in power another Mubarak like leader will be imposed on Egyptians. This is their preferred outcome over letting the Egyptian people pick their leaders. SMH

I agree that Bachmann is off the deep end. That wasn't my point. I wasn't meaning to defend Bachmann. I just think this particular thing is the wrong thing to be attacking her on. I'm perfectly fine with people attacking Bachmann in general. It's just that when you attack her on this particular issue, it comes across as being supportive of Morsi.

It's like if Charles Manson came out and made a statement condemning rape. I wouldn't attack Manson for doing that. The guy is an evil maniac, but I think it is the wrong thing to do to attack someone who takes a stand against rape. And it's the wrong thing to do to attack someone taking a stand against Morsi's setting himself up as a dictator even if the person taking that stand is a fruitcake.

Do you actually believe a word of that? Do you not realize that it was the liberal secularists in Egypt who started the protests against Morsi? That the army was acting in support of the citizens against a man who literally declared himself to be above the law? The military didn't oust Morsi against the wishes of the people, they ousted Morsi in support of the people's wishes. Because Morsi had declared himself absolved of judicial oversight, and therefore no longer answerable to the populace which had elected him. The people clashing with the military were not the average citizens, they were the supporters of establishing religious law. You know, that same sharia law which would deny you as a woman the right to an education, to wear the clothes you want, or to move about in public without an escort.

Per my previous posts in this thread regarding liberals supporting anybody they see as being an enemy of Republicans no matter how evil that person is, I point to Iamme73's post here as exhibit A proving my point.

And the right wanted voters to consider her as a viable alternative, and they wonder why so many look at the GOP as a collection of Nut Jobs.

Yes, I do. I don't support Morsi, and neither do the people of Egypt. So I don't know why you are focusing on him.
The current state is a military dictatorship which the people also don't support, and conservative support for that military dictatorship.

As well as conservatives support for the brutal dictator Mubarak. conservatives are hoping that the military imposes a Mubarak style leader on the Egyptian people.

conservatives are terrified of Arabs and Muslims picking their own leaders.

This isn't a Charles Manson like figure, these are elected representatives in a foreign country on the verge of exploding, do you think it's helpful for congressmen from our country to make not only ignorant but also inflammatory statements.

It's one thing if she makes dumb statements about muslims invading our administration, quite another to make public statements in Egypt.

This said by someone who supports a party that expects people to believe that Benghazi, the IRS, and the NSA were all phony scandals drummed up by people who really just don't like Obama's skin color. Even though they've sworn everyone involved in Benghazi to secrecy, the principle IRS person involved has taken the fifth, and the Security Advisor admitted lying to congress, there's really nothing there at all. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

The NSA is not a phony scandal, but NSA scandal was caused by conservative's creating the Patriot Act.

The other two are phony political scandals that have gone no where.

conservatives continue to drift further and further away from reality.
