They already banned lemonade stands, unless you pay the man.
Who is 'they'?
A kid can set up a lemonade stand here with no hassles. No hassles anywhere for them in this entire area.
Maybe it's different in Texas, but your statement is an over-generalization.
I wouldn't worry much about sleepovers. Parents these days are much more watchful and protective of their kids in general than they were when I was growing up, for sure. And the world is not full of perverts; the vast majority of parents are just as concerned about their kid's well being as they ever were. Single parents often don't have the energy to wrangle a bunch of kids on a sleepover, so some kids aren't going to get to have one, but I'm not buying into fear.
If I had a grandkid old enough for a sleepover, I would go check the parents out if I didn't know them, and decide for myself if they're OK or not, just as I did when my kids were little. We got checked out too, and that's how it should be.
Is it coming to that? That kind of micro-managing our lives.
I'm very surprised the liberal la-la states have not regulated slumber parties!
I think you should an IQ test to make a thread here. When you write something that has pointless whining complaining about liberals when you give no context makes you seem foolish.
So I see we have another over reaction thread from Bent.
