Colbert is right that they have zero knowledge of what he would actually do on Syria or on any other issue, but they are projecting their own current political desires into their "god". Reagan looked the other way on other atrocities across the world, but here today these acolytes are out to "get" Obama, so in desperation they must tell America what their "god" would do better. It's desperation out of fear that they are losing their grip on our politics - AND it's also just Fox-as-usual.

Colbert's a blithering idiot and does comedy for the slow-witted.

Colbert does comedy to counter the fascist disinformation of Fox Noise and its gullible audience. One can resort to comedy because the combination of fear and hate has its own built-in guaranteed audience, as Fox well knows.

If that.

Really, if Stephen Colbert is that strapped for material, maybe he should get a job in a factory or pizza joint. I can't imagine anyone caring what Colbert thinks of O'Reilly. Or anyone. What a waste of air!

The reality is Reagan wouldn't be able to make it through today's Republican primary process and he would have been labeled a "RINO" for agreeing to raise taxes half a dozen times. Not to mention his whole "cutting and running" from Lebanon after the Beirut bombing.

Why look for other subject matter when the sad-sack American right wing is comedy gold? Jeez, the hypocrisy, transparent lies, misogyny, race baiting, flailing and thrashing about to convince people of their altruism while being driven by hatred and fear and trying to hide the fact, is material that practically writes itself.
Just listen to these Fox clowns in their lame attempts at misleading the public on the minimum wage issue.

The Fox Bimbo calls it the "Obama economy" even though we're still in Reaganomic trickle-down kept alive by corporate conservatives and an obstructionist Republican Congress.

Yeah, that's a tired old cliche that liberals have been using for years. No, Reagan wouldn't be a Democrat today. He wouldn't be spurned by a party that contains people today who actually served in his administration when he was president.

It's just that while the Democrats tried to demonize him just like they try to demonize anybody who doesn't agree with them, they failed. Reagan is remembered as great man. So after failing to destroy his legacy, they've switched to a different tactic and instead try to distance Republicans from him.

Which is nothing but pure partisan blathering of your own, and marks you as a hypocrite.

So the people who you just said worship him as a god have zero knowledge of him. Whereas the people who oppose the political ideology he followed accurately judge what he would have done. Are you aware how stupid that sounds?

Yes, much better that we trust the left wing commentators like Chris Matthews and the thrill up his leg, right? Give me a break.

False. No one is saying "Reagan would be a Democrat." They're saying if he ran for president, he wouldn't make it through the primary process today because he wouldn't be "conservative enough" for the Tea Party types based on his actual policies and records. Either that, or he would have to be like Mitt Romney and go hardcore conservative (don't try to pretend Reagan was one, or you're a liar) during the primary to win, and then he'd get toasted in the general election.

Or are you one of these Republicans that just remembers the ol' Gipper image and doesn't remember any of his actual policies and what happened during his administration?

I mean, can you image if the Lebanon bombings or Iran Contras scandals had happened under Obama today? Take the Benghazi coverage and multiply it by about a million.
