Again with the what ifs? I think even with guns the Jews would have been on the losing end of that fight. So it doesn't matter much if they were armed or not.
It maters with how many of the enemy you take with you. It matters when hitler would have to spend more man power with the jews making reducing resources to fight on the front lines.
Why is America going to devolve into the law of the jungle all of sudden? Black president makes ya nervous? I mean seriously..... we spent decades under threat of an actual nuclear war from USSR but somehow managed to keep law and order when nuclear armageddon was a very threat. It probably isn't the race of the President as much as the fact that right-wingers are maniacally fearful about the fact that their preferences are embraced by progressively fewer people, and that they only maintain relevance today through deception of sycophants who they've duped into thinking their way, but who are actually harmed by antisocial right-wing policy as much as those who oppose the right-wing. There seems to be a nasty strain of entitlement mentality that affects right-wingers, an expectation that them being able to live the very best life they can grab at gunpoint should not be impeded by the reasonable encumbrances of being a member of a moral, humane society.

If a disarmed citizenry meets such a high ,morality, would you explain how? Throughout history, when control of arms was granted to only tbe ruling class and their agents, average citizens, or subjects, if you will, were no more than slaves. Defended only at the whims of the aristocracy. Or, oppressed, at those same whims.

Well you seem to be stuck on what ifs, do you think if the Jews were armed they could have created a rag tag militia and defeated the entire Nazi army? Also, it was only the ones in Germany that were affected by any gun law, the Jews outside of Germany could have been armed and still met the same fate.

These things do not happen overnight, they are chipped away a little at a time.....most people are not students of history and only support things based on their "feelings" at the time.

Oh I agree it would have been better, though I don't think it would have mattered. Poland had actual armies and fell to the Nazis, as well as several other armies.
