I've got plenty of bottled water being chilled in the fridge right now. We've known all along that water is good for us. I don't need Moo-chelle or any other Socialist commie reminding us that we need to drink same.
Another example of big government way out of control.
Water Helps Energize Muscles. Cells that don't maintain their balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel, which can result in muscle fatigue. "When muscle cells don't have adequate fluids, they don't work as well and performance can suffer...
Serious? You think she is evil? I tend to not pick on females that didn't really ask for it.
I think she doesn't like where she is and that she never wanted to be a presidents wife.
She is way out of her class and she has always known it. She never gardened in her life or had any dogs....
Her life was that of a city girl and shallow. She just wants to go shopping and be left alone. but can't.
She hasn't got the foggiest clue to know how to do anything, and likes it that way. It's plain as day to see when she is with other women of power she is very uncomfortable. I assume so, because she is as big as a green bay packer.
You can see her try to stand back and get smaller than her inept clown faced husband. I bet after he is done with this 2nd term she sends him off like a scalded dog..... Takes his money and runs....
She isn't happy as 1st lady......
There is some truth to this. I think most of us would be VERY uncomfortable in the white-hot spotlight of the media, and Michelle Obama is no different.
I think she could have used some coaching early on, perhaps, to make that transition a bit easier. She was short on protocol, and was clearly out of her league in many instances.
She had no practice on "the big stage", as her husband rose from a lowly community organizer to an equally lowly junior absentee Senator from Illinois. When your experience is limited to primarily the city of Chicago, you don't have a chance to polish your social interaction skills. Imagine the mayor of your hometown suddenly becoming president of the US tomorrow, and that's a pretty close approximation of what happened.
In regards to her water promotion, while I do wish she would do this at A MINIMAL expense to the taxpayer, I find it to be a positive thing. Soda and other sugary drinks are AWFUL for you, and more often than not, poor people gravitate towards them. While the science is still inexact as to HOW MUCH water you should actually be consuming, one thing is certain -- it is much better for you than sugary drinks.
Now, if she launched a campaign about the evils of BigPharma, I'd really be impressed. But I doubt that she would ever bite the hand that feeds her and her husband.

NO First Lady is going to preach about the evils of BigPharma. Their role is to find something non-threatening that they can rally around. Just say no; reading; and water - all fairly bland wouldn't you say?
if you get offended because someone tells you to stay hydrated, then you are too thin skinned, [MOD CUT/inappropriate]
I get offended that my tax dollars were spent telling me to stay hydrated. Doesn't the first lady have anything more important to spend our money on...like flying kids to Beyoncé concerts...

How much are we paying Michelle Obama to tell us to stay hydrated?????
And you didn't know that ?
You need "the government" to tell you to drink water ?
Total waste of taxpayer money to get some "face time".
Agreed. I've known since middle school that water is important to metabolism....and I didn't need the government to make special commercials to tell me. It's a well known fact. Read any diet book and they'll tell you to stay hydrated. Play a sport and they'll tell you to stay hydrated and keep your electrolytes up. This is common sense. Not something we need to be spending tax dollars on so the first lady can see her face on TV.
She needs to try doing something of substance for a change or just blend into the woodwork and quit spending our money in frivolous ways. One or the other.

I don't know how much they paid to make the commercial, have security staff present while the commercial was made and in air time but I doubt she paid for it with her own income.
