There is enough women now being seen in the ER for having been messed up by botched abortions. The doctors there are tired of seeing them and trying to fix the problems done to them. Now they are going to let people with less medical knowledge take over doing abortions? Even more women will be hurt.
Funny....pro-lifers don't seem to be worried about how many women will be mangled and killed if abortion is banned and pushed back underground like it was "in the good old days" before Roe V Wade.
Stop the false outrage. Just who do you think you are fooling?
BTW....how about some credible proof that our ER's are being deluged by botched abortions?
Child birth is natural. Not much can go wrong if the baby comes out head first. Abortion is inserting sharp instruments into the woman and pulling the baby through the birth canal. If it is not done right the woman can get perforations into the bowel and death. I would not trust anyone other than a trained doctor.
Yes, childbirth is natural......and kills 10 times more women than legal abortions do.
No woman should be forced to take on that kind of risk against her will.

The back alley abortionists are on main street now doing just as much harm and more to women. I am sure most women would reject abortion if it was against the law and they had to go to the back alley to get it.

Her body....her life....her choice.
Where is your proof of that stat? If women don't want to take the risk of pregnancy than they have the choice not to do things that cause pregnancy. Preventive medicine is the best kind.

OOOPS....my bad.....women are 14 more times likely to die from childbirth than abortion!
Researchers found that women were about 14 times more likely to die during or
after giving birth to a live baby than to die from complications of an abortion.
Quote:
Dr. Elizabeth Raymond from Gynuity Health Projects in New York City and Dr.
David Grimes of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel
Hill, found that between 1998 and 2005, one woman died during childbirth for
every 11,000 or so babies born.
That compared to one woman of every 167,000 who died from a legal
abortion.

What makes it complicated, Harwood added, is when the law interferes and
requires doctors to state information that isn't always balanced or medically
sound, usually exaggerating the risk of abortion.

So....women....and men....should only have sex if they want to procreate.
Tell us.....just how do you plan to implement your solution?
And it's been happening for millenia.
Suddenly, the religious idiots think they have a handle on both morality and medicine.
"aging hippie."
