From a regulation standpoint - California is like a bad gateway drug for America. Stuff that should never be legislation is created - then other states start sniffing around.

-----------------------------

One of the arguments against defeating tax payer sponsored abortions is that it would carry abortions into the back alley where it would be done in an unsafe manner. Seems like this is heading in the same direction.

CA Gov. Brown to Sign Bill Legalizing Non-Physician Abortions

A bill that would allow non-physicians to perform abortions in the first trimester of pregnancy is awaiting signature by Gov. Jerry Brown of California by Sep. 30.

...
One doctor--who identified himself as pro-choice--told Breitbart News that "the bill is a disaster since it sends us back 100 years to the problems of the complications from back-steet abortions." The bill's critics warn that the training provided to non-physician staff is weak, that supervision by physicians in clinics will be minimal, and that there is real risk of injury or death to women who will be treated in such conditions.

...
Yet the training is to be provided by the Board of Registered Nursing, not by physicians, and the protocols for defining "supervision" have not been specified. There is nothing in the legislation requiring a physician to be present or on-site during an abortion.

And there's always the money aspect in the background...

Opponents describe AB 154 as an effort by Planned Parenthood and other groups to profit from Obamacare, since the legislation will expand the number of patients eligible for the state Medi-Cal program, and Medi-Cal pays for abortion.

So in Texas and other states it will be done in homes and motels. Go back to Utah and stay in Utah if you don't like California.

Wow, another conservative calling for the destruction and deaths of millions of Americans. Your friend gunlover told me yesterday that he was praying for a massive terrorist attack on any major liberal American city.

Kill millions of people in California: Totally cool. Bomb whole cities: Awesome!

Remove a small clump of cells from a woman's uterus: OMG you MURDERER!

Not to mention putting poison in the cakes of homosexuals. Yes, some compassionate conservative thought it was an awesome idea, just last week. The right seems to get off on death and destruction.

Yes, we favor smart deregulation, not insane deregulation! There's a big difference, wouldn't you say?

Cali is a $68B bullet train wreck, with Moonbeam as the engineer.

So according to the article this is already allowed in many places all over the country. How does that fit into the whole "crazy CA" equation? I think it's just easier to point than look at your own crap.
