That's right, none of their computer models work, no warming to be seen, all we had was a little blip around 1995 where temps were warm. After decades of the global warming scammers rewriting their computer modes to duplicate the past, and once again failing to predict their alarmist warm future. The earth is laughing in the faces of these AGW, man-made global warming schemers and scammers, as they stand there with egg on their faces.

So now they will spin new fanciful explanations as to why they are so wrong, still try to fool everyone into expecting the chupacabra to eat our young if we do not drastically change our lifestyles, pay enormous amounts in taxes, and redistribute our wealth to the world's greedy governments.

Theories as to why Earth's average surface temperature hasn't risen in recent years include an idea that the Pacific Ocean goes through decades-long cycles of absorbing heat.

It's a climate puzzle that has vexed scientists for more than a decade and added fuel to the arguments of those who insist man-made global warming is a myth.

Since just before the start of the 21st century, the Earth's average global surface temperature has failed to rise despite soaring levels of heat-trapping greenhouse gases and years of dire warnings from environmental advocates.

I guess they didnt get the memo that said sea levels were going rise 7 feet unless global warm... I mean "climate change" can only be stopped by taxing business's and increasing costs for consumers while rewarding their cronies with government subsidies for their "green" business.

Global warming has been the biggest sham of the last 30 years.

The Europeans are finally getting it too:

Warming Plateau? Climatologists Face Inconvenient Truth
By Axel Bojanowski, Olaf Stampf and Gerald Traufetter

Data shows global temperatures aren't rising the way climate scientists have predicted. Now the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change faces a problem: publicize these findings and encourage skeptics -- or hush up the figures.

For a quarter of a century now, environmental activists have been issuing predictions in the vein of the Catholic Church, warning people of the coming greenhouse effect armageddon. Environmentalists bleakly predict global warming will usher in plagues of biblical dimensions -- perpetual droughts, deluge-like floods and hurricanes of unprecedented force.

The number of people who believe in such a coming apocalypse, however, has considerably decreased. A survey conducted on behalf of SPIEGEL found a dramatic shift in public opinion -- Germans are losing their fear of climate change. While in 2006 a sizeable majority of 62 percent expressed a fear of global warning, that number has now become a minority of just 39 percent.

One cause of this shift, presumably, is the fact that global warming seems to be taking a break. The average global temperature hasn't risen in 15 years, a deviation from climatologists' computer-simulated predictions....

From the article, it is basically saying that the Pacific is absorbing heat. What happens after it no longer absorbs the added heat?

I don't know. But whatever ends up happening, a cap & trade policy in America sure isn't going to stop it.

I'm torn on this. I was always skeptical about "global warming," because of idiots like Al Gore and Cap and Trade, not to mention some bizarre government obsession with "renewable energy," which, let's face, is as unsustainable as it gets, and takes incredible amounts of energy to even facilitate a functional infrastructure, and then it's ultimately dumped back into a coal, oil, and nuclear-powered grid.

That said, every single person should do everything they can to minimize his or her footprint on this Earth. If there's anything to learn from this climate change debate, that is that we obviously know far less about this planet than we think, so let's be careful and not **** it up.

I believe in Global warming and do think we should be more careful with the environment, but I think people like Al Gore and his ilk seriously over exaggerate Global Warming to try and scare people into believing their propaganda.

What happened to the claim that we would all be under water by 2010? Or that should have run out of oil a decade ago? Crap, all of it.

I think what we are seeing is that geomechanics don't follow the media cycle. Temps go up and down on short time scales, but as we take a longer view larger patterns emerge. People with an agenda and a short attention span see what they want to see....
