The sequester, which actually was an increase in spending, DIDNT CUT ENOUGH...
So are you now going to claim its an Obama sequester after you made threads claiming it was a Paul Ryan one?
OK, sure. And the GOP putting the defunding of Obamacare into a bill knowing it won't pass the Senate intact is not obstructionism.
Obama wants the rest of his tax increase but does not want to give anything up in return and the {R}s are asking for more cuts in exchange for raising the debt ceiling. Maybe they can make a deal?
I remember back when leftis proclaimed that it was a Republican sequester, because if it kicked, everyone will lose their jobs, the economy will collapse, babies will starve, old people will be killed, the world will end..
Obama admits the sequester was his idea, are you calling him a liar?
btw, to answer your stupid question, remember you stand here whining because the "tea party" wanted cuts.. now all of a sudden you're shocked because those cuts will remain cut.. how dumb can one be..
If there is one thing that is absolutely consistent about the RWNJs, it's their utter and complete inconsistency!
I seem to remember back when the sequester took place and our fellow conservatives were adamant that this was Obama's sequester and all his fault. Fast forward to our current budget debate over the CR and we have our same conservatives demanding that those sequestration spending levels be left untouched. What I'm having a hard time understanding is how did conservatives go from blaming Obama for the sequestration to now demanding that the sequester stay in place?
I'll take this one, it is a puff-ball question.
Back when Republicans were noisily protesting the sequester, they still suffered from the delusion that President Obama would be amenable to some level of sensible reduction in expenses. After it became clear that the president believes we can restore prosperity if only we are willing to waste enough money, that government spending should rise, and rise, and rise, then Republicans realized that the sequester was the last, best hope for budget sanity.

I can't speak for anyone but myself but you can go back and look. What I said was that it was Obama's idea's and one of the few good ones he ever came up with.

It's always been good. This is where you diverge from reality. Saying that it was Obama's idea doesn't make it a bad idea for anyone outside of those who think the government should continue spending recklessly.
The sequester did not cut any money from anything.
It cut the annual rise in the amount of funding that was on autopilot to increase every year.
It cut increased spending. Not spending at current levels.

Haha, like lefties whining about a 4.5% unemployment rate under Bush, and celebrating a 7.5% one under Obama? Must suck to have such low standards for your own party...
btw, there is nothing inconsistant about wanting government smaller.. You can imagine that smaller government doesnt equal smaller government, but thats an issue you need to cope with.

If the Rs wanted to negotiate anything, why put the defunding of Obamacare in the bill in the first place.
