I think its fun watching The Sheep™ defend their guy at all costs. After 5 years of this phenomenon, we no longer wonder if there's a tidbit of credence in their defenses, or some sort of truth to their perspective.

Admittedly, she did dump him -- as an infant -- on her parents so she could go enjoy the rest of her teenage years, but still, that doesn't excuse him lying about the details surrounding her death from cancer.
