Why does he just HAVE to lie? Is it a character weakness or is it that he thinks he cannot win by telling the truth?
There are too many of these to do just one per day, but here is a start.
"Most Transparent Administration in History" Called "Control Freak" by Journalists

President Obama may have boasted as recently as February that he oversaw "the most transparent administration in history" and the White House may continue to tout a commitment to "an unprecedented level of openness in Government," but the most transparent thing in the federal government these days is the fear of official retaliation government officials feel when approached by journalists. According to a new report from the Committee to Protect Journalists, the Obama administration actively discourages disclosures to the public, spies on officials to deter contact with journalists, and prosecutes leakers at an unprecedented level.
We are talking about a man that lied about the circumstances of how his own mother died to score political points for Obamacare. When the Washington Post contacted his campaign about the "mischaracterization," they offered no reply and Obama went along repeating the lie even after it was exposed...knowing his supporters would either be too ignorant to find out about it or not care if they did.

This is a common narrative in the life of Obama. He lies because he's been ALLOWED to lie by the MSM. Call Obama out on his lie, and they tagged you a racist.
The problem is that he's created this fictitious world built on these lies, and he believes them. The ridiculous memoir of his -- Dreams From My Father -- was FULL of lies. Here's one:
1. Hussein Onyango, Barack’s grandfather, wasn’t really imprisoned and tortured by the British.
Really, Barack? Here's a helpful hint: If you are going to lie about something, make sure it's something NOBODY can document.
Obama's inability to tell the exact truth was chronicled in David Maraniss' book Barack Obama: The Story Unlike Obama's "No-bell Peace Prize", Maraniss is actually a Pulitzer Prize winning historian who chronicled the president's rather interesting narrative over the course of 600 pages.
The problem is that Obama has had a LOT of people accept him as a liar, both in the media and in the halls of academia. Here's an amazing quote from one of Obama's enablers:
Gerald Early, a noted professor of English literature and African-American studies at Washington University in St. Louis, agreed. "It really doesn't matter if he made up stuff," Early told Fox News. "I mean, after all, it's like you going to a psychiatrist and you make up stuff, and the psychiatrist can still psychoanalyze you because they're your lies."
Yes, he said that: It. Really. Doesn't. Matter. If. He. Made. Stuff. Up. Wow, just wow. I wonder how many of us would get a hall pass from the IRS if we "just made stuff up."
I think Obama's wretched beginnings -- he being the product of what amounted to statutory rape and all -- laid the ground work for a disturbed childhood that spawned a pathological liar. It might be funny if Obama was a SNL character, a la Jon Lovitz -- "Yeah, that's the ticket, Congress, just shut down." --- but this particular pathological liar happens to be the president of the U.S.
It's bad enough that he is so comfortable lying that it has become part of his fabric, his very being.
What's even worse is that his supporters -- those in the media and average citizens -- allow it, and even excuse it.
One thing is for sure...everyone trying to buy the cheap health insurance he promised now knows Obama was bald-faced lying to the American people. This guy is starting to make Clinton look honest.
Why does he just HAVE to lie? Is it a character weakness or is it that he thinks he cannot win by telling the truth?

He has to lie as the truth is not good for him. Tell the same lie over and over people will believe it
He doesn't have to tell it over and over again for his followers to believe it. All he has to do is say it, and it magically becomes fact because of the lips from which that lie was uttered.

When has Obama ever been approached by journalists?
The only times the press has ever talked to him, it's been to tell him how wonderful he is, how wise and beneficial his programs are, and how mean, wicked, and eeeevil his opponents are.
And have treated any members of his administration differently, other than a few times when the stench emanating from Benghazi, the IRS, the NSA, and Fast&Furious all at the same time, became so overpowering that even they couldn't help but notice it? At which time they asked a few pointed questions, mostly ignored the answers, and let the matters slide once again?
Why does he just HAVE to lie? Is it a character weakness or is it that he thinks he cannot win by telling the truth?

I really don't have a lot of sympathy for those journalists considering they've been lapping up the aura around the Chosen One for years. NOW they want to complain? **** up a rope, journalists.
Funny how this "Communist" bailed out Wall Street and is presiding over the greatest increase in stock prices and corporate profits ever.
Stop. they don't want to hear anything resembling the truth. The glass will ALWAYS be 1/2 empty for this bunch.
