Why would it be bad to stop going deeper in debt?

No way should the debt ceiling be raised. It's time to live within our means, get control over the wild spending spree.

Im so glad your view of not raising the debt ceiling limit is a very very small minority of all Human beings across this globe.

Not even your party's leaders, nor the vast majority of the rank and file, agree with you.

And you think that paying your debts by borrowing more is the road to financial solvency?

Describe for us the merits of uncontrolled and unlimited borrowing by politicians. It would especially helpful if you used historical examples to show us how well it works.

The American people long ago that gave them a credit card in the first place.

The hard part is getting them to give it back so we can cut it up.
All we can do now/today, is say no, when they want to spend more on the card.

There is no need to because that was not my contention. Don't try to "out smart" yourself. Stick to what is said, not to what you want to post.
