There is a method to his madness. The "Green eggs and Ham" talkathon, The shut down push, and the sightings at memeorials are for maximum exposure.

Quote:
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz raised $1.19 million in 3d quarter of 2013 — thanks to a surge after his 21-hour anti-Obamacare talkathon.

That overnight quasi-filibuster, begun the afternoon of Sept. 24, generated enormous attention. It also helped Cruz raise at least $222,825 in the final week of the campaign reporting period that ended Sept. 30. (Thanks to Washington correspondent Emily Wilkins for the number crunching.)

The $1.19 million represents a combined tally for his Senate campaign committee; the Ted Cruz Victory Committee, a joint fundraising committee; and Jobs, Growth & Freedom Fund, his political action committee.

This whole legislative debacle is for his 2016 Presidental run.

Oh I am surprised he didn't have a change jar out begging for money during that talkathon because that was all Cruz cared about. He couldn't care less if this country shut down and defaulted as long as Cruz was getting that steady paycheck and government health care.

I'll probably just kill myself if the tea party nominates an unnaturalized US citizen for their presidential contender in 2016, after the Kenya/birth certificate/Muslim/terrorist conspiracies for the past 8 years.

I think the Teapublicans[i stole that] love him as a Senator, but will not support him for President. He is not cut from the same cloth.

I don't think he is single-handedly causing the debacle, but he is unquetsionably using it to fund-raise and position for 2016.

No different than the oil company hearings in 2008 with Hillary talking about "taking those profits"

Or when a supreme court justice comes up for nomination and both sides start their abortion topic fund raising.

That's just because you are racist towards latinos.
(Yep, the republicans will be smacking that race card on any complaints about cruz you can take that to the bank.)

Yeah, it will be absolutely hillarious watching both groups of partisans flip-flop to the other side if he is the nominee.

Just like it was to watch the positions on gas prices and wars morph.
