You wanted Palin to shoot Bin Laden and field-dress him like a moose? Hang his head in her den?

Only because of severe gerrymandering. And to boot Republicans lost ground in 2012.

That is a matter of perspective. I saw her various comments and shook my head. Obviously, SNL picked up on it, too - but after the fact.

I'm pretty sure McCain woulda picked up steam regardless of who he picked. There is usually an uptickright after announcing and if he picked someone young from a state that he needed to pick up who knows how it plays out.

I doubt he would of won regardless of who he picked but I think the circus of Palin makes people believe she helped... but he also lost voters because she was a rambling idiot.

Why, yes.......it's Tina's fault that Palin didn't know what books and newspapers she reads. It's Tina's fault that she couldn't cobble a coherent sentence together. it's Tina's fault that she quit eveything she ever tried. It's Tina's fault that Palin said Putin's head floats over Alaska and that counts as experience in foregn affairs. It's Tina's fault that Palin thanked "Sarkozy" for enjoying the porn flick "Nailin Palin".

And for the icing on the cake....it`s not Tina's fault that Palin was running for VP and then admitted she has no idea what a VP does!

Truth is, if McCain hadn't picked Palin, he would've done far worse. She was the only thing energizing the base.

This pretty much means that he would've had to pick a similarly nutty candidate... only without the pretty face. Would've been disastrous.

This idea that he'd have done much better with a moderate to run with is laughable. That's the whole point... he CAN'T pick a moderate if he's running for the GOP. They don't allow it.

It's my belief that GOP had no intention of winning in 2008. No matter who got elected, it was going to suck. Safer bet to be the party blaming the president for the Great Recession.

Bottom line is no one, Democrat, Republican or Tea Party has any idea how to put the U.S. back to work.
So it's smoke and mirrors and playing partisan politics.

Lol.. No doubt.

The "party of personal responsibility" blaming Tina Fey is ridiculous.

Nah, she was dumb as a rock.

when pressed for depth on an issue she couldn't elaborate or put together a sentence that made any sense.

I remember when Slate tried to diagram her sentences...ah, good times.
