People get abortions for many reasons. If they on are welfare then at least they don't have another child to claim and get money for which is a huge problem. And this has nothing to do with politics. My niece, who happens to be a conservative, is a breeding machine because she doesn't believe in abortion. Guess who's paying for and her children since she doesn't work. Oh, yeah, we are You want to prohibit abortion and at the same time you are complaining about welfare. Haven't you figured out that these moms who keep producing kids they can't afford are draining our system. You can't have it both ways.

Lots of conservatives get abortions too, don't kid yourself. It's not like it only happens in blue states. The funny thing is though, and given that quality of your posts, I'm sure you're ignorant of it, more liberal countries have MUCH lower abortion rates than this conservative country. Go hit up the per capita abortion rates for somewhere like Sweden where it's legal and mostly paid for.

Were all these bible thumpers to turn their energy into real sex education for the youth in this country, they'd stop a lot more abortions than what they do now.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree:
Rafael Cruz, Father Of Ted Cruz, Wants "Great Transfer Of Wealth" Into Hands Of Evangelicals Like Himself

The father of right wing Texas Senator Ted Cruz, the most visible leader of the now-ended government shutdown, is seen in recently uncovered videos calling for America to be ruled by “kings” who will take money from anyone who is not an evangelical Christian and deliver it into the hands of fundamentalist preachers and their acolytes.

“The wealth of the wicked is stored for the righteous,” said the elder Cruz at an Irving, Texas, megachurch in August of 2012. “And it is through the kings, anointed to take dominion, that that transfer of wealth is going to occur." In Cruz’s scheme, the transfer will occur through a war against “the wicked” led by Christian preachers who will take the wealth from nonbelievers.

Of course he does. Cruz' father is a tub thumping preacher. He was brought up in those extreme beliefs.

But the question remains: How does a pill that prevents pregnancy become an abortifacient? No fetus, no abortion. Ancient women used inter-uterine pebbles as birth control long before any anti-conception medicines were invented. What's more natural than a small, smooth round rock?

Why do Evangelicals that gain a measure of notoriety all seem nuts?

They are usually nuts before becoming evangelicals. It attracts a weirdness I can't explain.

Well, here’s some medical research we hadn’t heard about. Generations Radio host Kevin Swanson, who last week delved memorably into feminist theory, tells us this week that “certain doctors and certain scientists” have researched the wombs of women on the pill and found “there are these little tiny fetuses, these little babies, that are embedded into the womb…Those wombs of women who have been on the birth control pill effectively have become graveyards for lots and lots of little babies.” - See more at: Swanson: Wombs of Women on Birth Control 'Embedded' with 'Dead Babies' | Right Wing Watch

You can't argue with science.

I didn't want to assume, but it is obvious.
