Because that's part of the ACA. Kids are allowed to be part of their parents health insurance until they are 26. And who exactly is embarrassed

I think Malamute was refering to the fact that we are community driven but yet aren't signing up for O-care. I think besides that, they see the costs of plans and the tax and see at least a 2.5 premium to the current tax for the individual mandate tax. Hello when you get a few hundred dollars in your pocket to either use for bills, paying the bill to yourself or "entertainment" vs health insurance that you may or may not need (due to how often you get sick and need check-ups) it is easy to pay the penalty. As the penalty increases in time, you will be better off getting the plan.
