Fabulous. CA has agriculture that feeds America and the "patriots" are going to lecture the person working at the checkpoint. Who are there in an attempt to keep destructive insects from being brought into the state. (Where they do things like ruin crops.) Dude, it takes 30 seconds to say, "Nope. No fruit from grandma's blueberry patch. We ate in in New Mexico." But then why do that when you can put yourself on Youtube giving a GS 7 a hard time and be a hero to all the other **cough** patriots.

I'm SO not impressed.

Civil disobedience 2013 style: Lecturing the lady in the booth. Hysterical.

Dude, you can't just drive away in the middle of a traffic stop because you feel like being a part of it.

I know people hate laws and cops a lot, but in reality they exist for a reason. People don't get to feel like they did anything wrong and just walk (or dive) away. This sovereign citizen crap has never gotton in any court of law at any point, and driving away or confronting an officer because you feel like laws don't apply to you is insane.

I don't like the law, but people don't get to pick and choose what laws apply to them or not. That's not patriotism at all. Plus, some one could easily say that they don't feel like laws about murder apply to them and shoot you in the face for spouting things they don't agree with...and get away with it if they can choose what laws apply to them.

True, what are these "patriots" doing to get the water turned back on for the farmers in the central valley?

Will you be revealing what this post has to do with 'patriotism' anytime soon?

What next for conservatives? Everyone ignore check points. You guys want to be rebels why not just unfasten your seat belts and get rid of auto insurance.. Then when you get in a wreck the gubbermint can pick up the tab.

So - what exactly was the price, apart from him having to show the world that he's an argumentative asshat with a chip on his shoulder and a ridiculous beard?

This guy is not a patriot. This guy is just another stupid fuggin a**hole picking a fight. If he's so righteous in his beliefs, why not just drive right on thru the checkpoint? Why even stop and accost the people who are trying to do their jobs?

He even says, "I'm not bringing any 'invasive' fruit into California." So he acknowledges a legitimate issue for the existence of the checkpoint; he appears to understand why the checkpoint is there. But he's more concerned with acting like a complete jerk to make a stupid point. Then he says that lady was belligerent. No man, that was YOU. Then he says he's not going to listen to a diatribe. YOU were the only one giving a diatribe. Some serious projection issues with this loser.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the tea party.

(I went thru one of these checkpoints a long time ago, so I don't remember exactly. But they do not immediately search your car; they just ask a few questions. Maybe you get searched if they're suspicious, but our car certainly wasn't searched.)

You've not heard? Telling off the woman at the Bug Stop proves you worthy of being buried at Arlington.

Actually, it is Mexico and South America which now feeds America. California sells most of its agricultural water to its cities instead of raising crops. Perhaps we should establish checkpoints going into Mexico?
Do you think anyone smuggling fruit would admit it to begin with?
Just continue to do as you are told and believe you are doing it in the best interest of the country, because you are too afraid to take a stand
