A homosexual is a homosexual because they are predominately emotionally, romantically, and/or sexually attracted to members of the same-sex.
Sex does not need to enter the equation, since attractions are not a behavior. If a guy thinks another guy is hot, he has not engaged in any activity, and yet he's homosexual (or bisexual).
Apparently someone needs to dumb it down for you since you can't grasp basic concepts.

Yes - SEX, in and of itself, is an ACTIVITY. Doesn't matter what kind of sex it is.

From Merriam Webster: of, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex
From Freedictionary.com - a person who is sexually attracted to members of the same sex
Sexuality - either homosexual, heterosexuality, bisexuality, or asexuality - is defined by underlying attraction, not by whom you have sex with. Sexuality is an innate, biological characteristic.
