Next thing you know the middle class will be asking for subsidies to help them pay for their health insurance. The nerve.

End of thread.
Actually, employees helping employees IS a prime example of private charity.

Don't you feel silly now?

They should just fire everybody and close that store. Imagine... someone giving the poor a job.

Surely those 8th grade / 5 kids dropouts deserve an $80k year job.

we were without power for a week and the walmart was a two and a half mile walk rather than the 5 mile walk to the grocery story that might not be open. The trip to Walmart was justifiable, but nice try playing the strawman card.

False Harrier, I think it is good that people are helping others, I think it is bad that Walmart exploits their employees and uses the taxpayers to pick up the tab.

Go to the Christianity threads and read the numerous posts by conservative Bible Thumpers who believe only Christians should be helped. And only if they have a job.

Turns out they don't even believe in private charity.

Yes, no doubt it will solve all the hunger for Walmart employees In the Cleveland area. Until after Thanksgiving.

But who cares then, eh?

Pi$$ on 'em.

Your idea of a permanent solution, is it?

No. Because you have yet to show me how this solves the problem of hunger in the long term.

Oh, wait. You don't care about the long term, right? As long as you get a little feel-good story at Thanksgiving, you're happy that it's all good. To hell with hungry children the rest of the year! You're just sure.
That somewhere, some church or Girl Scout troop or something is solving all the ills of the world!

PS. Do Let me know how admonishing poor women to keep their legs closed also feeds the hungry children we already have. Because I know that's the next talking point in your repertoire.

You have to be either a complete idiot or complete jerk to see this as somehow a negative reflection on the company.
