Honestly, Reid SHOULD have done this in 2009 when it could have made a bigger difference, and he SHOULD have gone all the way with it. But that's weak leadership for you.
Stop being afraid of the future that your party caused... stop making excuses of why your party's mistake shouldn't be taken to the level where it WILL be taken... Its going to happen, stop crying about it... It was the very reason why the nuclear option was never done before... now the cat is out of the bag... you can't stop the avalanche that you caused... stop whining about what your party did and make up excuses why their lame actions shouldn't be exposed for it what it truly is... the elimination of the minority party in the senate...

And for those that don't think that will happen any time soon, check the swing on the generic Congressional ballet. It has swung 11 points since the rollout of Obamacare, with Republicans now holding a lead. It's still a year before the election, but the Dems seem to have forgotten how fast things can change.
Republicans Regain Lead on Generic Congressional Ballot
Not to worry. The Republicans will once again shoot themselves in the foot by running a merry band of troglodytes for the Senate. More rape jokes are forthcoming.

And so have you. In March when the GOTP brings on more pain and suffering with their next shutdown, polling will shift again. In the meantime, we can also count on GOTP candidates to repeatedly insult women, minorities and gays in public because they just. can't. help. themselves.

Works for me!

I am not crying... I am happy... the Democrat party is about to undergo decades of suffering... all at their own hands... They thought they were smart... they end up being just idiots...

Yup. After 2014 every single nitwit on the left will be singing a different tune and demanding the reinstatement of the "nuclear option". What goes around...

My, how the opinions change depending on the who has the reins.

The Democrats howled when Sen. Frist mentioned the "nuclear option" on Judicial nominees in 2005.

Reid Replys:

"If there were ever an example of an abuse of power, this is it," said Senate Minority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.). "The filibuster is the last check we have against the abuse of power in Washington."
