Very glad I left New York years ago.
It was repressive when I left there in the late '70s already.

Nope. Lots of gun types here bragging constantly about violence, revolution, etc etc. Not that any of us believe the keyboard cowboys, but it's fun to point out their hypocrisy.

And I am right.

And again, you're wrong.

You truly are a glutton for punishment.

Whatever. Happy turkey day. My work here is done.

You are quickly becoming the most outspoken, BoR hating, liberal in here. You must be proud.

LOL....some firearm manufacturers have refused to sell weapons to the NY police departments since it would be technically illegal to do so.

MANY of the counties have refused to implement or support the law, and it is currently being opposed in court.

Overall...this was a hasty response to the sandy shootings, and is a horrible idea.

I suspect a lot of people will be prepping weapons for long term storage, and burying them.
The only issue was retired police officers and they amended the law to allow them to retain their guns if certain criteria was met.

There is no issue with police departments acquiring guns and the counties are enforcing the legislation. The legislation was minimal and generally supported as sensible regulation.

I assure you, theres some 50 cal weapons they can no longer purchase. Additionally two gun companies are looking at moving.

Seriously this is the sort of thing that doesn't help. You want to help avoid situations like sandy hook, etc? Fund mental health counseling. Taking peoples weapons away will not help.

So much for the myth of the law abiding gun owner. If someone wants to own a high capacity weapon they need to move to a gun friendly state. Just like a marijuana afficianado is going to have issues if they choose to live in Oklahoma instead of Colorado.

I thought right wing gun nuts were all about states rights and a limited federal government.

right wing gun nuts generally are all about constitutional rights too, so that's probably why there is resistance.
