Apparently the California legislature is paving the way for china to take over, seeing how aggressively they are attacking the issue .
They seem to prefer the criminals own the guns .
With several communists in office I can see a collapse soon.

Not so. There are recent posts here on C-D from such renowned gun advocates as Gunlover and Little Acorn that are frankly appalled that there is a task force going after felons and domestic violence offenders who are maintaining their guns in violation of criminal statutes.
Enforcing the law is not a crime.
What about Americans being shot in our ghettos? I sure DON'T see most Americans leaving the US to avoid that.
They don't have to. They just need to get out of the ghettos. Whereas a lot of Mexico is a ghetto. Had a conversation about that recently; it seems the areas near the US border are the real disaster. Farther south, maybe not as bad. Tourist enclaves are insulated.
Have you ever looked at a map of the USA and Mexico and seen how the major highway infrastructure just... stops, at the border? The contrast is stark. It's a good gauge of the relative levels of wealth.
Makes as much sense as me wanting war with Mexico. Now, the cartels? I could entertain that notion.
You would do well to entertain Fabian strategy against the cartels, rather than trying to meet them head on like some macho Rambo. Legalization of everything would dry up their cash base. Otherwise, what would victory over the cartels possibly gain you? Floozies? A mariachi band that follows you everywhere, singing your praises?
Allowing the citizens of this country to be armed was never intended to dissuade a foreign army from attacking. While this could be a consideration, the original reason was to protect the citizens from their own government. I hope we never have to find out whether it is a deterrent or not.
Not to mention the horror of the winter! The Germans in the 20th century, and the French in the 19th, learned about the horrors of invading Russia the hard way. Only significant global warming would make it easier. Although maybe in that case, Alaska would be invaded by the Lower 48. ;-)
I did not include our Alaskan winters because it is just a normal part of life of Alaska. It would not be Alaska without winter, now would it?
We can get around pretty well with our dogs (100+ miles per day), whereas any invader would be limited to our very limited road system or the frozen north slope. Everywhere else are trees, mountains, and ice, the realm of Alaskans.
Afghanistan is difficult to conquer because it's inhabited by a fierce, primitive, anarchistic and warlike people inured to hardship and living in difficult terrain. Americans aren't like that. We talk tough, they are tough.
Speak for yourself.
Most people would also consider Alaskans to be "people inured to hardship and living in difficult terrain." Perhaps not as "warlike" as the people of Afghanistan, but with 1 Alaskan veteran out of every 10 Alaskans and an average of 1.53 firearms per Alaskan household, we are not exactly pacifists either.
