So which is it? Is Barack Obama some evil radical socialist who dictates policy straight from the White House and sends out jackbooted thugs (often armed with Excel spreadsheets) to crush anyone who opposes him, or is he an "eloquent hat stand?"

I'm just trying to keep track of whether he's an all-powerful radical dictator or completely impotent. He can't be both simultaneously.
