Sarah Palin complains that the Pope sounds “kind of liberal” and Limbaugh thinks the Pope is Marxist.

Jesus was much closer to a socialist than a modern conservative capitalist. That's the obvious reality smacking you guys in the forehead.
No, I can clearly see that you don't.

Jesus was apolitical. He urged others to give freely and happily; not to petition the government to take from others and redistribute.

I'm not making any claims, you are. So prove it, or cite it.

I don't allow my personal feelings about religion to affect my political beliefs in any way.

Conservative christians are the ones who claim to be Christian, yet also tend to support gun proliferation and wide-open capitalism, and now also denounce a pope who points out the hypocrisy. So really, they should be the ones required to prove that their Christians beliefs are actually compatible with the other things they stand for.

Just look at what conservatives say on here all day long. They invariably say that the rich are to be admired, and that the poor are liberal moochers. And they are all in love with their guns. And many invoke Jesus and morality to bash gays. And now notice how threatened they feel by a pope who suggests that unfettered capitalism isn't the best way in accordance with the teachings of Jesus.

Here's one of your conservatives heroes covering all the bases...he's far from alone.

And this pope saying that unfettered capitalism doesn't follow Jesus's teachings is a hack!

To top it off, Jesus was homeless and ran around with a gang in the poorest sections of town. He had a trade, but didn't work at it once he grew up and left home.

If He had applied himself he might have been able to get off the streets.

Not sure how all the Rush Limbaugh links -- as if this one guy speaks for everyone -- are supposed to prove the OP trollish assertion.

Except that he intended this.
I don't remember him ever expecting or asking for government handouts, do you?
