I work at Macy's part-time during the holidays. If, while working, I held up a sign with Bible verses, and used them to campaign against Jewish people, black people, women, gays or any other group like that, I would be fired, too.

This isn't persecution. This is basic free market economics: Don't p*ss people off with your product.

And you don't find that stance completely absurd? Being attracted to the same sex doesn't mean your attracted to animals anymore than someone that is attracted to the opposite sex. It's a preposterously stupid stance.

You probably think the "product" the Robertson family sells is their show right?

That's exactly the same thing.

Okay let's try this: Human beings can consent. Animals cannot. There's no slippery slope. That's completely insane. And those who say completely insane things like that will damage a company's brand. So you have to fire them.

The end.

Pretty sure they have targeted their market. I'm pretty sure you where not in mind, when they decided to market their product.

When was the last time you were in Bass Pro, or Cabelas?

And if I answered a question asked of me, like that, at work, I'd get fired.

Rightfully.

And he answered it.

And the privately owned company that he works for didn't like his publicly stated comments, so they fired him.

Who would you suggest should step in and tell the privately owned company who they are or are not allowed to fire?

I prefer local shops, honestly. I fish in streams though, so there's very little gear required anyway.
