Marriage is't a constitutionally protected right. Equal protection is a constitutionally protected right though. So, if a state has these protections called marriage they can not deny them to a segment of society without showing how doing so would further a compelling state interest. So far not one of the cases has been able to show how denying same sex couples marriage furthers a compelling state interest.

A female homosexual can go to a doctor and have sperm from a male put inside of her and conceive. A male homosexual can donate sperm and use a surrogate that will conceive. Sometimes the egg donor and the sperm donor are both homosexuals. Thus homosexuals CAN reproduce.
You no longer need to insert a penis into a vagina to reproduce.
Scientists have even created sperm from adult stem cells. So someday two women will be able to have a child together that is biologically related to both of them.
