No it's not. It's a tool that puts worse criminals in jail for longer periods of time.
The young black punks who knocked out several white people just walking down the street or sidewalk aren't worse criminals? How about that pos who beat a World War II veteran to death in Spokane?
I'd like to be the first person on this thread to post outrage that a 27 year old punk assaulted a 79 year old man.
Oh thank you so much! I was about to post that he should be charged with a hate crime just for attacking a 79 year old man! How disgusting is that?! And all people can focus on is the race part, SMDH.
What does it say about our society that we cant even protect our elderly from young punks? Seriously, there is no shame left in the US. And Im suppossed to be the godless liberal gay man.
Those numbers don't agree with the post you made after that.
They most certainly do. Blacks make up about 12.5% of our population, but account for 23.3% of hate crime perpetrators. Whites make up about 72.4% of our population, but account for 54.6% of hate crime perpetrators.
So my statement that "black people are more likely to be charged with a hate crime than white people" is in absolute agreement.

He should get a long prison sentence which will likely lead to some prison justice for what he did. I do not condone that, I am simply noting what is likely going to happen.
That said, it seems that Holder long ago seemed to decide to be divisive as opposed to doing his job.
