True, but he would pay more via employee coverage at any employee, so for his family, ACA is a net gain.
Now, the reality is,with no coverage were it not for ACA, the taxpayers would pay for any service his wife needed at an ER anyway, as his income would have qualified for that.

For the same reason they give vacation days, sick days, stock options, company cars, free meals, and any other benefit for working there. It's part of the compensation for working at the company. It's just one of the things employers offer to attract better employees.

Why does the government subsidize anyones insurance? Because some people think they deserve something for nothing.

I recall all the comments pre-Obamacare about how bad Walmart's health insurance was to their workers and how expensive it was.

Now they'll all be lining up for Walmart jobs because the health insurance is so much cheaper than Obamacare insurance.

You see the Walmart workers only have to pay for themselves where in Obamacare you have to pay for yourself plus someone else because it's "only fair".
Neither of your arguments make sense. Anyone with a brain knows employer insurance is cheaper than private insurance, which is what Obamacare is.

you 2 continue to talk about it as if it is government when in reality it is just private insurance made available for view in one location. If you buy insurance on the exchanges then you are actually buying it from Blue cross blue shield or Humana, not the U.S. government.

An employer who provides and subsidizes employee healthcare insurance is raping their employees ?

To shop for insurance at a healthcare exchange requires your name, address and birth date

You would think that anyone knows that. But I'm amazed how many people on this forum have no clue how insurance works.
