The Obama administration has been trumpeting that 6 million people have gotten covered due to Obamacare. 2.1 million through the exchanges, but we know many of those haven't paid. Insurance execs said this weekend only about 50% have paid their premiums.

So that number is deceptive, but not nearly as deceptive as the Medicaid number. Turns out the Obama admin is touting people who are just renewing their Medicaid as part of the "new enrollees."

Quote:
The 3.9 million figure includes people who were already on Medicaid and are just renewing, as Marilyn Tavenner, the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services noted in a blog post late last month. So not all of these folks have coverage due to Obamacare.
The truth behind Obamacare 6 million coverage figure - Jan. 13, 2014

WaPo put the actual new enrollees as between 150,000-200,000.

Considering all the millions that lost their insurance under Obamacare, we have millions more uninsured today than we had when this law passed. Forward!

This should surprise no one.

The Obama administration has a history of padding (lying about) statistics to make itself look good.

Shovel ready jobs, jobs saved or created, the number of "good things" this administration has been responsible for especially including the "improving" jobs market.

It is just one more typical Obama lie.

Thats the ONLY way the plan can create the $1T in surpluses to the federal government projected.

If each subsidy is $3K a year (just guessing), then at a $95 fine per family this means that over 30 people need to pay a fine, for every family that gets insurance.

And since we all know ACA was sold on getting insurance for all, then clearly we cant generate a surplus, give out all of these subsidies, and pay for them by fining people who doesnt get insurance.

Their own stories conflicted with one another, but no one cared.. it "sounded" good..

Obama has a long history of lying, likely going back to his very early childhood in an attempt to make his own dysfunctional "family" appear normal. The fact that he continues to lie is hardly a shock to anyone, except of course to the MSM, who are in the business of enabling him to be the "best liar he can be."

I do find it interesting that WaPo is the one that will call him out from time to time. They were the ones that basically blew the lie up that Obama told about the details surrounding his dead mother, and they've actually shown signs of holding him accountable.

Personally, I don't believe ANY of the statistics that come out of the Blight House where Obamacare is concerned. This legislative cancer now has his name firmly attached to it, and he will tell ANY lie to make sure that it "succeeds". Of course, the very success of it is simply predicated on more lies, as is the norm with his administration.

Barack Obama: More inept than Carter, more corrupt than Nixon.

Where are you getting the $95 fine? The fine is 1% of you gross income OR $95 whichever is MORE. You have to be dirt poor to only be assessed $95.

When your entire life is based on a lie, what would you expect?

Which makes it even worse, considering that the nations GDP is about $13T, so even if NO ONE had insurance, 1% = $130 billion.

ACA was expected to generate $1T in federal surpluses over 10 years, OVER and above what they spent on subsidies..

So even if everyone lost their insurance, and paid the fine, the federal govenrment couldnt possibly generate $1T in surpluses, and pay the subsidies, and pay for the treatments over a 10 year period, especially given the fines are only assed from "refunds", and not taxable owed at the end of the year.

The whole numbers were pulled out of someones ass...

How anyone can STILL sit back and say that Obamacare is or even will be a success is beyond me. Day after day, story after story, it should be clear to everyone at this point in time that Obamacare is hurting much more then it is helping. Thanks for sharing this, OP.
