Obviously there are some who have no understanding of how the military functions. The military's job is to obey your commanding officer whether you agree with him or not, unless it is an illegal order. Then you will be tried in a military court and if you are found to have reasonable cause to NOT carry out the order, you will be vindicated.

The UCMJ states that "I will carry out all lawful orders of my superiors."

On the one hand, there is thread after thread from the right claiming how totally inept the President is, yet they also claim he is micro managing everything from who get's fired or hired in the military and how many condoms get distributed by planned parenthood. Make up your mind.

Just another smear post against the president, the administration, and the entire functioning of the nation by the usual disgruntled right wing bottom feeders of distorted, misinformation.

Seriously, no one cares about disgruntled officers.

Follow orders or resign. They still have their six figure pensions to fall back on. Get tossed from your job and see if they care about your plight.

I pulled one name off of this list completely at random. Captain Owen Honors. Somebody look him up and tell me he should still be in the military. In fact a few of the other names are associated with his misconduct. I cant find any involvement by the White House, and in fact, he retired a few months after a review board reprimanded but didn't boot him. This has nothing to do with the president and everything to do with the military promoting absolute idiots.

I read an excerpt from Gates' book. Apparently when Bush had to meet with his Generals, he considered it a pleasure; when Obama met with them, he considered it an obligation.

Says a lot.

Another example of this fabricated conspiracy, the very first name on that list is Gen. John Allen from Petraeusgate. Under Obama Allen was promoted to general, lead ISAF, was nominated to lead NATO, and retired when his wife became sick. Seems like an awful lot to do if they didn't want him there in the first place. In fact, Petreaus is on that list, and he wasnt even in the military when he left. But then again nobody ever accused rightie Internet memes of making sense.

Wow. For a rare occasion, you and I are in agreement.

This is nothing new. Truman relieved MacArthur. When you serve you know the score. If you don't trust the civilian leadership get out of the service and you are free to voice your opinions. I got out rather than serve under a President that loathed the Military. While in I obeyed all lawful orders and kept my opinions to myself.

Another chosen at random, Captain Robert Marin, was fired for adultery.

Another, Commander Sara Santoski was fired after two incidents including two fatalities.

Commander Mike Varney was relieved of his command for taking classified material home, though he was not booted from the Navy.

VADM Tim Giardina was investigated by police for using fake chips at a casino, and he wasn't fired but removed of his command over nuclear weapons.

Each of these examples took no more than 15 seconds to find the real reason.
