OK, but I think there is a difference between threats in US and at the games. It seems they want people to think they are safe here, but not there.

Except there's already been two bombings and two potential suicide bombers identified. One of the two was by their released video and another is a Muslim woman who's husband was killed in a shoot out with Russian police. The games are not far from the Chechnia region.

I agree with you in principle, but I feel that Putin wants to ensure that his country's time on the world stage will not be filled with the images of terrorists.

Personally, I wouldn't go, but I do feel the crowds will be there.
