San Francisco: Activists attack Google buses over gentrification

Surely you read enough of the article to find the real reason for the dissent:

"There are obviously many benefits to keeping private cars off the roads, but the shuttles have created problems too. The buses illegally use the city bus stops, which transit officials say causes delays in city bus service; forces city buses to stop in the traffic lane rather than at the curb; creates localized traffic congestion; and diverts bicyclists from bike lanes into dangerous traffic lanes."
