Not only wasn't Dean running against Gore, Dean is hardly what one would call blue. His family money came from his father's hardwork, not inheritance.
Spoiled? Perhaps one can call Dean spoiled by some standards, but it is far more interesting how so many flip-flop on their POV about privilege as it suits the party rather than the individual, or rather as it suits individuals.

Sounds like Hillary hates everyone-Dean, Gore, Obama, Edwards. Even her fellow democrats. What gives with this woman? If she makes it to the general election she's got to have someone as VP. Wait. . . Are former Presidents allowed to serve as Vice Presidents?
Actually Dean does come from money. His father was an executive on Wall street. . . He grew up on East Hampton and his family had an apartment on Park Ave. in Manhatten. Attended private boarding schools and went to Yale.. etc. etc.
I am aware of the former Gov's background, but what is described is not blue. It is working money, in my opinion, as compared to those that came up in a world of inherited money: blue.

Why do people have so much animosity towards those that inherit money? Sure, you see idiots like the Paris Hilton's of the world, but there are plenty of kids who inherit a lot of money or a profitable business that deserve it as well.
To the "have's" I say: You should appreciate the fortunate situation you are in.
to the "have-not's" I say: Work towards putting yourself in the "have's" position.
As a very "have" person, you may have misconstrued my point...but I'm here to tell ya, I have plenty, got plenty, and applaud all those that have it, earn it, and go without it--sometimes it's a choice, and other times it is just plain happenstance.
