Yes.

Every generation needs a boogeyman to justify the "investment" we make in the Military-Industrial Complex.

No, he said this:

President Obama's speech on Osama bin Laden's death - Los Angeles Times

"...For over two decades, Bin Laden has been Al Qaeda's leader and symbol, and has continued to plot attacks against our country and our friends and allies. The death of Bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat Al Qaeda.

Yet his death does not mark the end of our effort. There's no doubt that Al Qaeda will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must — and we will — remain vigilant at home and abroad."

Do you have a direct quote from the President that says Al Qaeda is done? Or is this just another sargento-screed?

He said Al Qaeda is weakened, not done. And he's right.

It does remind me of the local police departments who continue to complain about a gang problem. You can have crime fall in half and they will still want more resources. In this case we have some politicians and some in the military, CIA complaining aout Al Qaeda..Its job security.

Exactly. Same reason the DEA chief insists marijuana is as dangerous as heroin. Job security, and money.

That's why the police state has increased while crime plummeted, and the defense budget increases to higher than that of the Cold War.

Fox appears to have "viewed" things differently, as usual.

"Former President George W. Bush asserted that that al Qaeda network was "one the run" as early as October 2001."

Al Qaeda is “morphing,” not on the run, intel chiefs say - CBS News

"In fact, Clapper's testimony before the Senate that al Qaeda is a "morphing" threat that is "franchising itself" in several countries is similar to recent statements from President Obama. In his State of the Union address last month, Obama acknowledged that al Qaeda still posed a threat to the United States, a threat that he said has "evolved."

It's like saying 'I love you", good to hear over and over again.

Saw an interview of the naacp marchers and when asked about problems and if they held Obama responsible, the grossly uninformed blamed the repubs for every issue. So it matters not what Obama said, right or wrong...he is immune from responsibility but creditied with imaginary success....only possible with the help of the media propaganda machine......

If you like your AQ you can keep your AQ... any flavor you want.

The funniest part is the video is of James Clapper, the guy who explicitly lied under oath to Congress about the NSA spying on Americans.
