The major news outlets are ignoring Connecticut gun owners overwhelming resistance to the new state gun registration law. Why is this news being suppressed? Who is really controlling our "free" press?

This is a Connecticut issue. I don't really care to hear about this in California... It doesn't affect us...

If it doesn't affect you then why did you read the post and take the time to comment on it?

Who would have thought that the Rebellion would begin in the State of Connecticut?
It's certainly no surprise that the Obama followers (AKA Media) would want to keep that on the QT

We'll see how they cover this issue when NY follows suit in a few months. As it stands, the state is refusing to say how many have registered. Come April 15th, we'll see what tune Cuomo is singing.

One of the most telling parts of the story is that Connecticut is going to use the background check data bank to see who the hold outs are. People that have argued that background checks are de facto registration were right. It's happening.

The really disturbing thing about this development is that it is being swept under the carpet and no one is protesting. Is there no one left in this country that gives a damn about our freedom? Are we so willing to be enslaved that we are afraid to even squeak?

Free Press means they are free not to report on this or on any of the other thousands of stories people believe should be covered.

The thing is that there is no resistance from actual people that have read what the new law actually says. In other words the people advocating resistance are not from conn or are nut balls.

You people have no idea of what real gun control laws are. Israel for example only allows you to have one handgun and 50 rounds of handgun ammo max if you have the license for said handgun which 90% of who apply for the license get denied.

Jamaica which the NRA claims bans all guns actually lets you get permits for handguns and lets you when you have the permit which you renew every year when you do get it have as many handguns as you want and lets you buy 50 additional rounds of ammo each year. You can also go to the range and use all that ammo and buy replacement ammo. So if you spent 500 rounds of ammo that the law said you had you can buy 500 rounds then the next year buy an additional 50 having 550 rounds. Whereas Israel you can only one handgun, 50 rounds. So who has more gun freedom Jamaica or Israel? Oh it's Jamaica the supposed gun hating country while Israel the supposed gun utopia according to the NRA is the actual gun hating country. In Israel guns like the AR-15 are illegal not only to sale but to own.

Jamaica you can conceal and open carry as long as you have a permit and there are hunting and shooting clubs which the NR A claims doesn't exist.

The US is one of the most gun permissive countries on Earth. Compared to other countries are gun control laws are nonexistent and we are in fact like Somalia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq in terms of how common guns are as well as what the laws on gun ownership are.
