i think minimum wages hold back average pay, its an excuse, the government say we have to pay this, this is all we can afford.
but if there was no minimum wages then business would have to compete to keep their good help, why should i work for a dollar if joes paying two dollars.
those that are total worthless sou;d fine how what good work is. There is a lot of people that not worth minimum wage. it needs to be market base. but then that would cut into government tax rate and that would not be good for uncle sam

And businesses don't do that today? Do we all somehow only make minimum wage because the country has a minimum wage law?
What if job a, b, and c only wanted to pay you a dollar an hour and you couldn't find anyone willing to pay you more than that, then what? What if the person behind you is willing to do the job for less than what you are willing to do it for, then what do you do?

Then you'd make a dollar an hour - if that's acceptable to you.
If it isn't, then you do something else.
The fallacy of the false dilemma is very strong with you, grasshopper.
How would they fail if they had people willing to work next to nothing? Isn't that going on with the manufacturing jobs we shipped overseas? Those companies seem to be doing fine.

It would be such an eye opener. I think for you it could rightly be called "life changing".
