First, he was never a licensed plumber, and now he's joined a union? The ultimate political hypocrisy to be a party sheeple and now a turncoat.
In order to work for Chrysler you must join the union . I know dems would rather have him on the government freebies .He found a job accepted and was forced to join a union as part of the job.
What's the big deal?
He got a job a Chrysler, in order to work in that facility he has to join the union. It's a closed shop, so he has no choice about joining so, he wanted the job, he joined the union.

Simple.
He didn't have to join a union. He could have worked at McDonald's
so "joe the plumber" decided that he wanted to work, got a job at chrysler, which then required him to join the UAW union, and now he is being excoriated by the left because he wants to earn his money rather than live off the public dole? you libs never cease to amaze me.

so then you decide, a job making minimum wage, or one that is paying what these days $35 an hour? the only thing is that the higher paying job requires that you join a union. personally i would take the higher paying job if it was offered to me. but then again this is a simple matter that libs just dont understand. he decided to work his way up to better paying jobs through his life, and earn a living.
