The sad fact is we had this debate in this nation already and it lost already.
People have very short memories. When it was ok to be a racist to black people, when the laws began to change racists made a similar argument that not allowing my business to discriminate against black people was a violation of the constitution.
We know how that turned out. It is a dead end position that bigots always argue near the end.
So now you are implying gays are victims like Jews in Nazi Germany?
That's about it. That's how they think.
Maybe their gay flags and silly parades are coming home to roost. As I've said so many times: nobody cares if you're gay; just stay out of my face about it.
Yep! Don't ask, don't tell might be the best course of action.
George Takei is a washed up, one-trick pony drag queen who's attempting to ride that one thing he ever did as far as it will go. As an actor, what has he done over the past 50 years? He'll do absolutely anything for attention now. This just shows how disparate he is.
"Heading 227 mark 12, Mr. Sulu. Warp factor 3."
"Fabulous, Captain!"
So?
You have your own washed-up has-been, by the name of Ted Nugent. At least George Takei doesn't crap in his own pants.
SB 1070 didn't pass muster either no matter how much the press misrepresented it. The court certainly had their own opportunity to read it themselves and come up with a conclusion.
A good conclusion too.
And I'll bet a few bucks that if this one has a bad smell, we.can get this Bill killed too should our idiot governor decide to make it law.
The part that everyone howled most about the "show me your papers" provision was upheld by the Supreme Court. In any case, we both know none of it was ever enforced. It was an expensive black eye for the state without any consequence with respect to illegal immigration. This law would have much the same outcome in the unlikely event it is signed into law.

People dying by the thousands in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and you're getting your panties in a wad over George Takei's feelings being hurt?
Oh My!
You may be only able to be outraged at one thing at one time, but many have a broader scope. It's not an either or thing. Also it MORE than feelings being hurt…this is about prejudice, freedom of the person and legislating hate.
