Milwaukee County prosecutors Thursday filed voter fraud charges against 10 people, including two accused of double voting in 2012 elections and two felons ineligible to vote.
Quote:
Leonard K. Brown, 55, is charged with voting more than once, providing false information to an election official and four counts of voting as a disqualified person for ballots cast April 5, 2011; and Feb. 21, April 2, June 5 and Nov. 6, 2012. The double voting and false information counts relate to the November election.
If they really wanted to crack down on voting fraud, they would eliminate mail in absentee ballots. Or all mail in ballots, PERIOD.
10 people are not many, but enough to set an example, if the media will run with it.
It's just the tip of the iceberg. Voter fraud is like cockroach infestation. For every one roach you see scurrying on your kitchen counter top, there are hundreds behind the walls.

Sure there are. uh huh. And your evidence of this is?

It's impossible to prove. First, Democrats charged with prosecuting voter fraud rarely do it because it runs counter to their interests. Second, there aren't enough resources dedicated to addressing voter fraud. That too is by design courtesy of the Democrats. Third, nobody has studied it - again because Democrats aren't interested in studying it for obvious reasons.

OK....so if this line of thought is valid, and voter fraud is so rampant and so needed by the Democratic Party, then why haven't Republicans done any of the things that you've just stated the Democrats won't do?

They're beginning to do things that will help. Voter ID is a good start. Of course Democrats oppose even that, despite the fact that around 80% of the population favors the idea.

Yes, but if Voter ID only prevents 10 whole cases of Voter fraud in a large city then its a completely wasteful endevour. Now if the Republicans created studies like you suggested to show that there was in fact a rampant amount of voter fraud going on that would be prevented by requiring ID then I would imagine a program such as that would be necessary. Right now though it looks like it would be a waste.
Just a thought, maybe we could have provided everyone in America with a photo ID with a part of the hundreds of millions of dollars wasted on a website that doesn't work, "shovel-ready jobs," failed green energy businesses, or IRS bonuses.
Nah - much better to funnel government bucks back to your campaign supporters by whatever manner you can. What ever happened to good government liberals? They disappeared just like the dodo. It's amazing what a cult of personality can do to the judgment of otherwise decent people.
