Sharron Angle is off the deep end. She is precisely why Reid is still senate majority leader.

Sue Lowden was beating Reid by 10 points before her infamous "chickens for checkups" comment. I feel sorry for her, because it was just a stupid comment, which she handled poorly in the aftermath. Lowden is a casino executive from Vegas, and she really had no business running against the most powerful man in the Senate. Amateur. There were three men, along with Angle and Lowden, seeking the GOP nomination. Why the GOP voters went with Angle is beyond me. Maybe because she's a woman? I don't know. I forget his name, but one of the male candidates, who had experience in state politics IIRC, was perfectly viable. The GOP was off-track in Nevada in 2010. We have many independents here. We are not a blue state by any means, but we soundly reject the nuttiness that accompanies some tea party favorites. We wanted Reid out. Apparently, the GOP wanted him to stay exactly where he was.
