Man. Where can I vote. Like the mEssiah he is, Mr Prez pulls a rabbit out of the hat. Six million people have signed up for Obamacare. Ahead of schedule and on target with the revised target. http://www.cnbc.com/id/101532103

'Course, he nor Kath, nor Nance, nor harry can tell you:

1. How many people actually paid the premium

2. How many people gained insurance for the first time

3. What the demographics look like

and, on and on and on. I smell a skunk in this miraculous numbers.

Wait..they extended the deadline because they said they are having a "surge" of applications and can't keep up.

Payments are made direct to the insurance companies. They are setting up a system for insurance companies to report back to the gov't.

2. How many people gained insurance for the first time
How would the gov't know that? It's not a question when you sign up.

3. What the demographics look like
I haven't looked for the latest data. This link is from January 13 2014.
Nearly 2.2 million Americans selected plans in the Health Insurance Marketplace from October through December
54 percent are female and 46 percent are male;
30 percent are age 34 and under;
24 percent are between the ages of 18 and 34, and;
60 percent selected a Silver plan, while 20 percent selected a Bronze plan; and
79 percent selected a plan with Financial Assistance.

Yes, you have to log in to the exchange site before April 1st to get a 2 week extension. This should push the signups over 6 million. And it's not a question of "and can't keep up" - it's just people waiting until the last minute. Once you've entered your data and received quotes (43 quotes in my case) it can take a while to ponder and choose the best one for you. It took me a week to call the different insurance companies for clarifications & details before I decided on a plan. It was then another week to get a mailed invoice from the insurance company & pay the 1st premium.

Of which the majority lost the health care they previously liked and could afford.

It would be like me firing 10 people, then hiring them back and saying "look, I just hired 10 people."

its probably true, but they are ignoring

something like 3 million new medicaid patients, and how many millions who lost policies, who had to then repurchase new plans..

It'll still leave 30M without insurance as an end result.

Or giving away policies to millions of people, and then acting surprised that people take free ****..
