What about all those other threads accusing the Dems of being racist against Blacks.

So which one is it, are they anti Black or anti White?

This bill is simply a band aid, if you will. It does not address the more immediate question of how do we increase the academic competitiveness of non Asian students, which is the real issue. As such, the bill only promotes a false sense of accomplishment.

Skirting around the real issue does not improve the situation for the long term.

Not surprising. Much higher percentages of Democrat voters are uneducated and poor.

Both. They are mostly just pro government regardless of who get's hurt.

After all, the ultimate goal for the crybaby Republican is always to deny blacks equal opportunity. If he can get more Asians in instead, this serves the purpose. Republicans would favor dogs over blacks if the inclusion of dogs would help them use the 'Diversity' label to the exclude blacks. More bigoted Dixie-think with the Pub arguments.

Asians may cry racism when 'Diversity' policies don't benefit them, without addressing the fact that mechanisms must be employed and tweaked to address the lasting impact of racial discrimination against Black people, past and present. Asians don't care about the far tougher road that Blacks have always had to travel to qualify themselves. Blacks have it far tougher than Asians. They don't care to acknowledge that the black person who managed to sit next to them in Chemistry or Engineering at MIT, has traveled much further than they have, and faced far more adversity in the process. Rewarding Asians, who face less discrimination, practice severe separatist behavior, and study like robots to excel on exams, does NOT address the lasting impact of the greater discrimination that blacks have always faced and still face. It should also be noted that the rise in Asians only means more Asians. Asians don't open the doors for any other historically-disadvantaged minority group, especially blacks and Latinos. Silicon valley and the tech industry is a perfect example of this in action.

"Diversity" is a term that is defined in different ways by racist Republicans, Asians, and Blacks. To a racist Pub, the term means "any minority group is preferred over blacks and Latinos, since these groups also discriminate against blacks and Latinos". To Asians, it means, "as many Asians as possible. Damn everyone else, especially blacks and Latinos." Neither of these definitions has any more credibility than a drunken sailor on crack. There is no "Diversity" if the existence of a combination of certain races has the impact of denying equal opportunity to blacks and/or Latinos. How absurd, but this is the Republican way to perpetuate racism against blacks in a post Jim Crow society.

"Diversity" is not achieved unless black people are present to such an extent, that it is evident there is equal opportunity. After all, if racists are kept out of the way, and blacks are given equal opportunity, many would flourish. This is clear evidence of equal opportunity. The focus should be on black people because blacks are still despised and given far less consideration as a matter of course than any other race. Given equal opportunity and a level playing field, one merely needs to look to the NBA to see what would result. I don't care what industry we're talking about: Law, Medicine, Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Mathematics, and so forth. Black people are a gifted people and if all you see are a combination of a races who discriminate against blacks, guess what? NO EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, and no Diversity. As an example, Silicon Valley claims to be 'diverse", but it is comprised primarily of whites, Asians, and Indians. Blacks are present in insignificant numbers, virtually invisible. The region is thriving, so what happened? Certainty many qualified and brilliant blacks have tried to make the beautiful area their home and career focus, but their numbers have dwindled and it's not because they are not as talented. This is the hollow 'diversity' that Republican prefer because they can say the area is "diverse", when they really are partying because blacks are virtually non-existent. No equal opportunity because if there were, the area would be comprised of not just whites, Asians, and Indians, but blacks too. Blacks would be thriving in such a place. No true "diversity" because the impact of the existence of the three races (whites, Asians, and Indians) collectively excludes blacks.

This is where it's headed. If CA doesn't want to take the lead in this regard, some other state will. But it's clear, the Republican perspective of "Diversity", "Affirmative Action", and "Equal Opportunity" moves backwards faster than Usain Bolt. The Asian argument supports the Republican position, and will therefore be shot down. Shame on Asians for being so short-sighted and self-serving here.
You keep on mentioning the lack of equal opportunity and advocate some sort of affirmative action type policy to level the playing field.

The fact is elevating one over other races legislatively puts their status over others, why is this such a difficult concept?

The Democrats in the California state legislature think that they can do anything because they now have a super-majority.

They forget that they are still accountable to their constituents.
