What do you not get about the following?More than half of the Blacks living in the South in 1860 were free.
Of those free Southern Blacks, only 10,689 lived in New Orleans.
That leaves over 250,000 free Blacks that lived elsewhere in the South.
A South Carolina Black, William Ellison, owned over 60 slaves.
I have never before seen so many BS excuses to deliberately hang onto self-chosen ignorance.

This isn't much of a shock, since according to the law at the time, any white person from a slaver state could simply walk up to any black person and declare him or her to be his slave, and the black person had no way to fight it, unless he or she could find several white people to testify in court that he or she was free.

If you want to go with that number, fine. Only 500,000 Blacks lived in the South in 1860, more than half of which were free (linked earlier in thread). Therefore the other 3,700,000 slaves must have lived in the North.

So because this group of small minded a**holes hasn't acted out on it, you deny that it is a hateful message? Your message being accurate is your opinion. It is NOT fact. The FACT as stated in the definition in a dictionary says that they are indeed a racist due to their feelings that they are superior over someone with a different skin color, in this case white people. We are not disputing your experience with dealing with racism or oppression or that it was part of this nation's history at one time. However, it is only a partial definition of the word racism. Furthermore, isn't it black people that don't like when white people say these things about them? If it's not OK for white people to do it, or claim to be superior, and is offensive to you, then should it not be equally offensive when it is the other way around? I'm thinking if you don't see it that way, and the fact that you're blowing their message off as nothing to see, then perhaps you agree with their message?
Because...............slavery. Don't you get it?. Even though every race has enslaved every other race and been slaves themselves doesn't matter. I mean some were even targeted for genocide (Jews).
But you see black people are the only ones allowed to hold on to past grievances. Even if they weren't slave or can even trace any of their ancestors to being slaves, doesn't matter, they are still apart of the victims by just sharing skin tone. Even if the vast majority of whites never owned slaves, doesn't matter. They are still bigots and the devil.
I mean the fact that you people have to reach over a hundred years into the past over something that you may not even share any blood relation to justify this just shows you want to hold on to your victim status so that you can dictate to others what is and what isn't acceptable. Believing that whites are inferior, the devils and weak is racist. You can't deny that because you want to hold on to slavery of which didn't even happen to you or even anyone in your family tree. Your victim card is about to expire.
A black multimillionaire with global recognition and kicks it up with the president at the White House and you people are still whining about the "white devils" and "slavery"?......Come off it. No one is buying this crap anymore but your fellow race huslters.
