Again, if this was so important the Democrats should of fully funded it at the Federal level, why did they kill this woman?

"To be eligible for a 100% reduction from gross charges (i.e. full write-off) the individual’s household income must be at or below 200% of the current Federal Poverty Guidelines."

If she made only $9,000 per year she clearly would have received 100% reduction from charges.

Federal Poverty Guidelines | Families USA

The lack of Medicaid did not kill this woman, there were other options that she did not explore.

The hospital also has excellent Cardiovascular care.

Here is a statement from the hospital I linked that Dill would have qualified for 100% off her bill through the charity care program.

"Whether your condition is simple or complex, acute or chronic, we have the tools and expertise to help diagnose and treat it. If you would like to schedule an appointment with a heart expert of the Cardiovascular Institute at Florida Hospital East Orlando, please call us today at (407) 303-8656."

Uh... uh.... uh.... Boooosh!

She was fully qualified to use the services free....because she choose not to use them or did not know about them, is the repubs fault? Really.......

First thought that popped into my thread was how long it would take before we discovered what Thinkprogress either omitted or outright lied about to try to score political points.

They didn't disappoint.

emotion, thinkprogress, and alan grayson all blaming the republican party, but wasnt obamacare supposed to deal with this very situation? i mean those loving kind hearted democrats were supposed to give health care away to everybody who couldnt afford it, but charge the rich up the wazzoo because they could afford it.

and she went years before she died, sorry but blaming the republicans only doesnt cut it here, the democrats are just as much to blame. the problem isnt one party or the other, its government in it entirety. government makes the regulations that continually increases the cost of health care. until we address those regulations, and until we address proper tort reform, not capping awards, but rather more like not letting frivolous cases proceed, we will not properly address the costs of health care, and more people like this will die.

A waiting list for a long-term chronic condition like hers wouldn't have killed her.

She had available options she didn't persue for whatever reasons....she died and people like you are trying to leverage it for political purposes.

I have relatives in healthcare and they have patients die all the time because they didn't give a crap about thier health and did things like eat whatever they want and then come into the ER with their legs rotting off from diabetes.....or smoking 2 packs a day even though they had lung and breathing issues.

You cannot force people to take care of themselves.

She didn't even try. Her problem is her problem caused BY HERSELF! 17,000 will die with no expansion? Oh how did all these people stay alive before the ACA? You can stuff that dumb ass Harvard study, it is complete propaganda. You doom and gloomers are becoming more and more psychotic by the minute.

I doubt you realize the irony of your post.

Perhaps you meant "couldn't" care less about.

The Ds were fully in charge when that POS called 0care reared its ugly head. They have nobody to blame but themselves.

In this specific case, thinkprog was less than honest which is no shock. As another poster mentioned they are about as disreputable as some of the crackpots like breitbart.

It's a shame when someone has a valid argument but then tries to embellish to "sell it better".

They do a disservice to their own cause, something you clearly don't "get".
